Wrigley Memorial and Botanical Garden Tour Description and Map
We starts from The Golf Garden Plaza on Sumner, proceeds to and then up Avalon Canyon Road, past the site of the Old Bird Park all the way to The Botanical Garden and Wrigley Memorial at the end of.Avalon Canyon Road.
The tour then enters the Botanical Garden And Memorial grounds where we access historical as well as contemporary information about Catalina Island itself, the unique animals and plants of Catalina, and get to view first hand many of these plants as well as many other exotic succulents in the Garden.
Segways are the only wheeled vehicles allowed inside the Garden Area. No one is allowed even to walk a bicycle inside the enclosure. This is because The Catalina Nature Conservancy recognizes the extreme environmentally friendliness and minimal footprint of the Segway PT.
Time is spent at the unique Memorial itself. The view from atop the Memorial of Avalon Canyon to the Pacific is spectacular. Photo opportunities are numerous. The tour then returns as it came.
